Rocky Mountain’s Phazer II radio commercial has again ruffled state law makers.
Instead of going after the companies for consumer fraud, for selling devices that have no effect what so ever in jamming police radar/laser guns, the politicians just go ahead and enact some new law that prohibit these devices.
NY State Assembly bill SO5989 would amend Section 397-a of the NY State vehicle and traffic law by adding “It shall be unlawful to operate upon any public highway in this state, a motor vehicle which is equipped with a radar detector or laser detector commonly known as a phazer II device”.
As states rack up these new laws prohibiting these devices, RMR uses it proof that their products must work, as why else would states spend so much time and money passing laws!

It appears as though this bill is dead for the time being. I checked the VAT laws for updates, and there has been no addendum to show this was made a law.
