As you may note on my many websites, I have been working very hard the last couple years to rid the radar detector industry of Michael Churhman and his company, RMR, for their questionable marketing techniques and selling products that are not only against the law, but do not work as advertised. Within the next several months, it appears that my hard work may finally pay off.
On 1/31/2007 the Federal Communications Commission issued a Notice of Forfeiture against Rocky Mountain Radar (RMR) in the amount of $25,000.00 for repeated and willful violations of the Federal Communications Act of 1934.
The notice indicates that there were “several informal complaints” alleging that RMR was manufacturing and marketing unauthorized police radar jammers in the USA. The FCC obtained a RMR-C450 and a RMR-S201 for testing purposes and found that these two devices sold as passive jammers, indeed were intentional radiators which require FCC certification.
Furthermore, they state in the notice that it is illegal to make, import, market or ship devices in the USA that do not comply.
The FCC notice also indicates that the RMR products would not be eligible for a grant of certification because of its design.
My contacts that are familiar with the case, indicate that additional actions maybe forthcoming against other retailers and/or distributors of the RMR products and may also follow through with additional notice of violations and seizure of products.
There is an easy solution for Mr. Churchman, take me up on my offer and show me one of your jammers/scramblers that actually work as you advertise, and my $50,000 reward will pay for your legal expenses and for the fine!

It’s about time RMR got theirs for
pedaling a product that doesn’t work.
This company has knowingly been talking peoples hard earned money for years with
their dishonest practices.
I hope the FCC pounds that business into
the pavement.

It is great to see you keep up the pressure on a company who should have been placed out of business a long time ago.
Persistence will close the door on these undesirable characters and may lead to other companies cleaning up there act.
