Those of you that have been following me for any length of time are aware of the $50,000.00 reward that offer to ANYONE that can show me one of Rocky Mountain Radar’s products that actually are effective at jamming police radar.
A few weeks ago RMR released their new radar and laser scrambler, the RMR C-475 so I ordered one unit online from their distributor.
Over the past several days I have been testing the unit against several of my own radar and laser guns and this unit had no affect what so ever in scrambling and/or jamming.
In one of my prior testing videos of the RMR C-450 where I pitted this unit against one of Kustom HR-8 radar guns, I shot the video during the daytime and the detector/jammers LED display was so weak it was washed out in the video.
RMR then fired back at me on their home page of their website saying that I had fabricated my testing video because you couldn’t see the display.
So this test of the new RMR C-475 I decided to shoot the testing video at night, so you could clearly see that the display was on and the unit was powered up.
As I am certified to instruct police radar training and I’m familiar with all of the equipment that is owned and operated by my local police agency, I chose to test RMR’s C-475 against a speed trailer that has a Kustom HR-8 radar gun.
This radar gun is one of the most popular stationary hand held radar guns used by police in use today.
You can see and hear in this video that the RMR C-450 is operational and that it had no effect in jamming this K-band radar gun at all.
Therefore I will continue to offer my $50,000.00 reward to ANYONE that can show me a RMR scrambler/jammer that works as advertised!

Yep I had one of this Rocky Mountain Radar POS and I got a ticket with it in my car. On top of that. They didn’t paid the Ticket like they said they would.
Dear Roy,
I ordered one unit of Rocky Mountain RMR-C475. After 10 days I will get it here in Ukraine (East Europe) and will test with all Russian & Ukrainian radars. Also I have possibilities to make this test with original police radars and photo radars named “Vizir”.
I will make video report also and send it to You and hope You will place it on Your web page. That is very bad that I found Your web page after I purchased RMR-C475 . But any way, let’s check it in Europe and see result.
Regards,
Sergey
Several years ago out of curiosity I purchased a RMR and hooked it up in the patrol car while my reserve officer in another unit used a Kustom Falcon handheld. The Falcon has been anualy recertified by a qualified technician since our city has owned it. Tuning fork tests checked ok. The falcon erred and showed differing readings. Constant reading of actual speed couldn’t be tracked untill I was within 90 to 80 feet. Measured with 100′ nylon measure that is somwhat stretched out, but at any rate a good estimation of distance. We switched cars and I ran the Falcon and same result, after tuning fork tests again. Scary, but at least I’d 18 years experience to testify as to my observations of estimated speed to wite an noi to violaters. During this test we tried to find the best location possible with the least trees and other radar signal absorbtion posibilities. A little difficult in our state with all our trees and shrubbery. Idealy if one could preform this test in open territory like Utah or Kansas with long sight distances the result may have been different. we mad sure no signage was in the vicinity to pottentialy bounce the beam/signal and we did not use the forbidding radar bounce in the mirror tricks. In my opinion we did an honest test and the blasted thing worked to a measurable degree.
My appologies for my bad spelling in the above post. I should proof read prior to submit
