It seems that retailing giant Radio Shack has put profit before customers in resuming the sales of Rocky Mountain Radar’s scramblers.
Several years ago Radio Shack executives became suspicious of RMR’s inflated claims of “No More Tickets” with their radar/laser scramblers and contacted Carl Fors at Speed Measurement Labs to perform an independent test of the RMR products that they were carrying in their stores.
The Shack’s execs saw first hand that RMR’s products did nothing at all in jamming and/or scrambling police radar and laser, and upon their return to corporate, canceled all future purchases of the RMR products.
Well either the Shack’s buyers never read the memo, or Radio Shack does not care about selling products that don’t perform as advertised, because they just began selling the RMR C450 and C430 on their website.
Members of the popular RadarDetector.net radar detector discussion forum quickly jumped into action by forwarding letters of complaint by E-Mail to the Shack’s corporate offices.
Earlier this summer, the Federal Communications Commission contacted several Internet retailers that were suspected of selling Rocky Mountain Radar’s products and other radar jamming devices, demanding sales and purchasing records of these illegal devices.
Therefore I have written a letter to the Chief Enforcement Officer of the Federal Communications Commission advising them of Radio Shack’s involvement in these illegal marketing and sales activities. You can read this letter here

Thanks to Roy and the http://www.radardetector.net forum members for helping remove Rocky Mountain Radar units from Radio Shack!
Our persistence in contacting Radio Shack has apparently paid off. The customer was “right” this time!
[...] A flood of faxes and e-mails followed from users of the RadarDetector.net website to officials at Radio Shack and within 4 hours of my origional posting, Radio Shack pulled the RMR units off their website. Great Site
Well I will always wonder because I find it funny that when I have a Texas State Trooper coming at me I will hear him 3 poping other people till I get with in range then they go full wide till they get pass me. Why would this be if it didnt work. By the way I travel approx 700 miles every weekend to get home and back to work. I have yet to get a ticket with my RMR. Approximate range proven is 3 miles through heavy trees and foliage. When it goes off you can bet theres one in the medium up the road aways.
Have you ever thought that perhaps you were slowed down below the speed limit when the officer past you and that is the reason you were not stopped by speeding???
Next time instead of slowing down, try speeding up and see how effective the RMR radar jammer really is
