Radar Drones Coming to FL

Earlier this year we began getting calls from commuters in the Bay area of California complaining about new k band radar drones that were popping up on the 280 Interstate. Well it seems that the idea of real radar drones are now being considered by the state of Florida.
In state bid ITB001-07 the state of Florida is looking for 100 K or Ka band radar drone systems that will be placed on their Interstate Highway system. One interesting item about these drones is that in their bid, the State of Florida is asking that the drones transmit in intermittent bursts, as to simulate instant on traffic radar.
